MLK Jr. Day
Monday, January 20th, from 10 am to noon. We will be making and packing bag lunches for God’s Kitchen, decorating “faith stones” to give out with the lunches, and color Valentine greetings to send to a local senior living facility. Everyone who attends will help to create a mural in the Fellowship Hall for our congregation to enjoy! The event will begin with a story about Martin Luther King Jr. and a Bible verse that reminds us of the importance of serving others. Donations of peanut butter, jelly, and bread are greatly appreciated.
Box City
The 14th annual Box City Youth Event will be hosted at New Hanover Lutheran Church in Gilbertsville on March 22 & 23rd, 2025. This Youth Ministry event is designed to raise awareness of the challenges of the homeless in our area. Youth groups from the SEPA Synod and surrounding churches are invited to participate in this overnight event by raising money to be donated to area social ministries, educate them on the daily life and struggles of homeless people, encourage them to identify ways they can help make a difference and how it all connects to the life Christ has commissioned us to lead. “Soup kitchen” meals and worship are also part of the experience.
