Chris McKinstry
Pastor

Hi I’m Chris, and I have the pleasure of serving as pastor here at St. James.

I grew up in Baldwinsville, NY which is a small town outside of Syracuse, NY. I went to Houghton College out in the middle of nowhere in western New York, and went to Seminary in Philadelphia. Prior to serving at St. James, I served as the Pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Meriden, CT. My wife Kate and I have been married since May 2007 and together we have two boys, Liam and Caeden.

I really enjoy spending time with other people, sharing stories over food, and/or beer and coffee. I also enjoy reading, writing, comic books, Stars both Wars and Trek, Doctor Who, the Phillies, and the Eagles.

Bobbie Hoffman
Director of Discipleship

I am truly blessed because I love what I do at St James.  It is privilege to help people grow in faith by finding and using their God-given gifts in ways that are meaningful to them.  Praying with people at all points in life and asking, “Where is God in this with you?” has been a blessing.

I’ve lived in Limerick since I was in the third grade… yes, that’s a long time! Before coming to work at St James, I worked as an RN in a neonatal ICU and at Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation Hospital. In my position here, my nursing skills and experience have been put to good use helping congregants with medical issues.

I enjoy helping people get connected in small groups and ministry activities here at St. James and in the larger community. I also enjoy all things coffee, old movies and having great conversations with my family and friends.

Janet Hilsmier
Director of Family Ministry

I was born and raised on the great Lake Erie not too far from Cleveland, Ohio and studied at Bowling Green State University before moving to the Philadelphia area. Having lived here for a good long time, it might take a rare slip to realize I’m not from around here, but I’m proud of my origins and I love living in Limerick. My husband Kevin and I are proud parents of twin daughters who give us every reason to be grateful and faithful to God.

I am excited to use my gifts in Family Ministry which includes supporting Christian education through Kids Connect, Confirmation, Youth programs, and seasonal family events. Our team of volunteers are helping kids grow deeper in faith, closer to Jesus and to each other.

Eve Keane
Music Director

I knew I found my niche the minute I walked through the door at St. James. I just knew this was where I belonged musically and spiritually. The staff and congregation are supportive and welcoming and I feel blessed to have the opportunity to get to know the people here and to use my musical ability in whatever capacity that my be.

I am originally from Philadelphia and grew up in the suburb of Wyndmoor, near Chestnut Hill. I attended Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ where I majored in church music and minored in voice and organ. I have taught music privately and in the classroom and have conducted and coached volunteer choirs of all ages and levels. I am also a composer and arranger. I live in East Greenville with my husband Billy, where we have resided for almost 30 years. We have one daughter, Diomira who is an artist, and two extremely spoiled cats. I enjoy all things artistic and creative, cryptograms, puzzles and sudokus, obscure knowledge, suspense who-done-it movies, hiking and a Bloody Mary with friends.
