Unwrap And Use by Anonymous

Giving of one’s gifts can sound like something for the guy at the other end of the pew, not you, right? Wrong! It doesn’t just mean playing an instrument, singing, doing the accounting, or being a leader with the children in Kids Connect. Giving of your gifts is what God wants us all to do.  He has given everyone of us special gifts, and he wants us to use them for His glory.

Think about the things you’re good at.  It could be the ability to listen to a friend or co-worker, taking the time to play with your children, grandchildren or someone else’s child. Showing compassion to a friend or stranger in need, or just taking the time to talk with someone can be the best gift you can give of yourself.

The gifts God has given to all of us need to be unwrapped. It doesn’t matter how big or how small you may feel that gift is. God gave it to you for a purpose, His purpose ~ and He’ll be smiling, watching you discover and share that gift with others. After all, that’s the best thing about any gift, unwrapping it and then getting to put it to good use.

Giver of every good and perfect gift, thank You for creating us with amazing gifts to be a blessing to others and experience the joy of Your Holy Spirit working through us. In Jesus’ name, amen.
