Current Events in Family Ministry
Children's Choir: The kids are learning one song "Be A Candle of Hope" immediately following Kids Connect in Room 6 (Ms Michelle's room). Practice is only about 15 minutes long. If your child(ren) are interested in singing in the church Cantata on December 16, please join us for this weekly practice. Need to practice at home? Here's a YouTube link to the song featuring Frisco ISD (TX) school choir. I can provide the lyrics upon request. Big Kids (4th-6th and beyond) are invited to also learn the 2-part version of this song to add some depth - please let Bevin Seislove know if you have a big kid who is interested!
Clothing Drive - The Youth group is hosting a Clothing and Household goods drive through November 11. Please share with your friends - we have an event link on our Facebook page!
Advent Craft Expo - Save the date for 12/8. This is our annual "make and take" event, where children and adults make Christmas themed decorations and gifts; we feature 12-15 crafts each year and 3 pre-school appropriate activities.
Help Wanted: Advent Craft Expo
If you enjoy creating crafts and showing others (mostly children) how to make them, I need you on my team! I’m looking for creative people to help me source ideas for the projects. I need patient and friendly people to teach the craft to others the day of the event. I need smiling, helpful hearts and hands to serve the cookies and cocoa snacktime.
