Kids Connect: December Theme

We want our preschoolers to know that the reason we celebrate Jesus’ birthday is because Jesus is God’s Son. God’s Son deserves a celebration as big as Christmas and a birthday bash as big as the one we’re going to give Him this month! He is that special!

Bottom Line: Jesus is God’s Son.

Memory Verse: God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son. — John 3:16

This month, our elementary-aged kids will be learning about how they can show compassion by identifying examples in the Christmas story as told in the Gospels of John and Luke. God’s compassion for the people He created led to the greatest act of love the world has ever seen. God sent His only Son to make us right with Him. We reflect that compassion when we care about others and show them how much God loves them.

Memory Verse: God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son. Anyone who believes in Him will not die but will have eternal life. — John 3:16
