Bravery can be anything from walking through the doors of a dentist office to defending the helpless from attack. What is it that makes people step up to the plate of bravery? For Daniel, Gideon, Miriam, and Hezekiah, bravery came from knowing that God was with them. The same can be true for us. God can help us be brave.

Key Question: Who can help you be brave?

Bottom Line: God can help me be brave.

Memory Verse: Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid . . . for the LORD your God goes with you. Deuteronomy 31:6, NIV

God may ask us to take a risk or do something we might not feel prepared to do. But God will also give us the courage we need to face that challenge. Jesus faced the biggest challenge of all: death on the cross. He chose to be brave and follow God’s plan.
