Happy Fall Y’all!
We’re kicking into a higher gear this Fall, with several opportunities for youth to gather and serve others in helpful ways. Parents, please help us ensure that we are communicating efficiently with you and your youth by completing the Youth Group Registration form .
Coming up this Monday night!: God’s Kitchen Soup Kitchen
Join us and serve those in need with a warm, nutritious meal. This event is open to all St. James Youth (grades 7-12) and parents. Volunteers are asked to provide a hot casserole or other meal component (see sign up), set up, serve, clean up, and wash dishes after the meal. Adult volunteers are welcome as well!
Please sign up this week! The signup will be released to other area churches and volunteers on Thursday and any open spaces will get filled quickly. We’d love to see many of our St James youth engaged in this activity!
When: Monday 9/26
Time: 5:30-7pm (try to arrive no later than 5:30)
Where: Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 150 N. Hanover Street, Pottstown
Confirmation Classes begin this Sunday 9/25 4:30-6pm for new 7th grade students and returning second-year youth.
The next Sr. High meeting is on October 2nd at 5:30pm (-8pm) which includes a Sunday Dinner (sign up please!). Please join us for good food and great conversations. (If the website needs it: Coordinator = Hilsmier, Password = 9055.)
The Apple Festival will be held on October 15. This event is a fundraiser for our Mission Trips Fund. We encourage our youth to be a part of this event as it will build relationships, serve the community and reduce future trip expenses.
