Just Do It by Anonymous

Ezra 10:4 “Take action, for it is your duty, and we are with you; be strong, and do it.”

You can’t build anything without taking some form of action. Have you ever built a dog house or a bird house? If you did you had to take action; cut the wood, nail or glue the pieces together. Many places in the Bible you can read of people taking action. Abram left his country and went to the land that God showed him. The disciples responded to Jesus’ call and followed Him.

They had to just do it. I don’t know how many of you remember the Nike slogan “Just Do It.”  That slogan was the motto of a wonderful pastor I knew for many years. I learned from him to just do it! But this verse also offers important encouragement, reminding us that we are not alone when we take action. I think I can safely say that without a lot of people on my faith journey I would not be where I am today. Most of all, we have the Holy Spirit to guide, strengthen and encourage us. So we have to be strong and help others in their faith journey.

Lord God, may Your Holy Spirit strengthen those who are weak and use those who are strong to build the Kingdom for Your glory. Help us to Just Do It! Amen.
