Protection Prayer
Lord Jesus, I keep worrying about my daughter lately. She’s going through a lot of changes. I feel lost right now because I don’t know what to do. Lord, I cannot be with her all the time, so I don’t know what she’s doing when she’s not with me. Protect her from every manner of evil and help her to walk according to your word. Remove every obstacle that the enemy has placed in her way and guard her against temptations that teenagers go through. In Jesus’ name, I believe and pray, Amen (ConnectUS; 15 Uplifting Prayers for My Teenage Daughter; Nov 24, 2018 by Editor in Chief)
I found this prayer searching online & I felt God wanted me to share with others, knowing they can relate & also needed this prayer. I have been stressed lately & I heard God say to me - you are not designating enough productive time to prayer. If you are worried about someone instead of thinking of all the ways you are worried, you should set time aside & pray for that person/situation. Pray is powerful!
I pray for people all the time thorough out my day (especially my family, friends & strangers that I see). But I feel like some of my prayers have been more pleading & begging lately (desperate – GOD HELP NOW). I feel like I should look for other words to use to talk to God. I know that often I underestimate the power of words. As we all know, the words we use to communicate to each other are powerful in both directions – hurtful/destructive or uplifting/inspiring. I feel like God is saying to me - think about what you are praying, choose your words wisely because you are not just speaking to God, but you are also speaking to yourself. God is using my own words to speak to me.
The words in this prayer are often in my thoughts & this prayer is exactly what I have been trying to say to God, but I couldn’t find the words in my desperation. It is so great that we can just Google anything that we are looking for! It is comforting to know that others are feeling & thinking the way that I do & perhaps they are in similar situations as me. These words will speak to so many & help so many (God is telling me).
The verses below show how God is powerful & how He has not forsaken you. Use these verses to help mold your prayers & help you find your words. Also try googling any type of prayer that you are looking for. It is comforting to know that you are not alone trying to find words & we can use technology to help our pray life!

“And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.” Psalm 9:10 (ESV)
