Turn It Around

Philippians 2:13 “For it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.”

Listen to this song by Church of the City, God Turn It Around.  Since the day that I heard this song, it was very powerful & had a strong meaning to me personally. I can listen to it several times a day!  The author of this song said that he wrote it because he did not have the best relationship with his father. He said he was on the phone one day with his father & the conversation “turned around.”  After the phone call he gave thanks to God & said, “God, you really turned it around.” He knew that others needed to hear his story.

How many times have you been heading down the wrong path or a path that you did not want to be on & suddenly God turned it around? I know it has happened to me, my family, & my friends many times. We may not always see it in the moment but later we see the exact moment that God turned things around & we are able to give Him the credit for it. We realize that He is always working to bless us, for His good pleasure.

I truly believe that, “God is doing something right now” as the song says. Many of us are unaware of what that is & God may not be ready to show us just yet. Weather we see it or not we all need to have faith that God is doing something right now for our good & for the good of the world for His good pleasure. Through any hurt & pain God is doing something right now to turn it around. Even if you are content with your life, God is still doing something right now in your life that is good.

Dear Lord, please let others listen to this song & speak to them through this song. God we are so thankful that You have turned around so many situations in our lives. Please keep showing us more situations where You turned something around for our good & Your good pleasure. If anyone right now needs You to turn something around, please give them faith that You are doing it. We are thankful that we serve a good God who is always there for us. Please help us to focus on You & Your goodness. We praise You & thank You in Jesus’ name Amen.
