Thank You God for Summer
Great are the works of the LORD; they are pondered by all who delight in them. Psalm 111:2
Summer brings longer days and the hope of lots of sunshine. We take time for trips with our families, cookouts and taking walks on the beach or in the mountains. I have convinced myself that an ice-cream cone on a hot summer evening is less fattening than at any other time of year!
I love to reflect on all the wonderful summers God has given me over the years. Each one is a treasure as I remember the fun and special times that have blessed me.
Ask God to help you create new memories this summer. Whether you travel or stay close to home, get physically active or spend lots of time on the porch with a good book and an iced tea – connect with the special people in your life. Create memories that will warm your heart all winter.
Summer is a great time for us to experience the joy that living in Christ brings us, allowing us to enjoy all that God provides. As we experience God’s joy through the beauty of nature, the sound of children’s laughter, or recounting funny stories with friends and family, be sure to share it. Our joy is multiplied when we do.
Lord God, thank You for the unique blessings of summer. You are so good to us as we celebrate this season. Amen.
