Who Has Your Back?

Encourage the exhausted, and strengthen the feeble. Say to those with anxious hearts, “Take courage, fear not. Behold, your God will come with vengeance; the recompense of God will come, He will save you…”Isaiah 35: 3-4

The past few months have been heavy on my heart with the news of shootings, the local news, family news, personal heart issues with family and friends, investigations, and world events. I have spoken to family and friends and they all give loving advice, but I am still sensitive to what is in my “space” or my heart issues.

Without going into detail about the past few weeks, today I laid my hands on my face and my elbows on my desk and prayed, asking God for answers. As I finished my prayer, I picked up a book I keep nearby. I have not picked up this book for some time even though I have eyed it many times as I sit at my desk. Today I reached out for it and the page that fell open to me was titled, “God will Save You!” It was the perfect page to read.

The passage is from Isaiah, the passage above. My God is always connected to me and I tend to forget He walks with me daily; He holds me up and gives me what I call my “post-it notes”, my reminders that I need daily.

He doesn’t want us to be fearful all the time, He wants us to have faith and patience in Him. He understands everything and wants us to be both physically and mentally strong. He IS taking care of ALL MATTERS including the little ones we worry about. God has got this and for that we must be truly grateful.

Whom Shall I Fear

Father, I am blessed to know You and that You have my life perfectly planned. You strengthen me daily and You provide answers as I need them and not before. Thank You for loving me and providing the daily strength I need. AMEN.
