Keeping the Wolves at Bay
Now I urge you, brethren, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them. For such men are slaves, not of our Lord Christ but of their own appetites; and by their smooth and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting. Romans 16:17-18
What would you name these creatures of the wild? I am sure they would not be cutesy names. But we have all heard of wolf pups that have grown up in homes where the owners did not know what they were. Also, we have memories of that little girl in the red cape who was taking a bountiful basket of food to her old granny. The wolf tried to fool her and almost succeeded.

Who are we listening to and following?
The Holy Spirit gives us a gnawing sensation in the center of our being telling us that something is wrong. Wisdom says to pay attention. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. These days are full of questionable people in various situations. God’s Word does not change, therefore guard the door. Don’t let the wolves in!
For the report of your obedience has reached to all; therefore, I am rejoicing over you, but I want you to be wise in what is good, and innocent in what is evil. Romans 16:19
Heavenly Father, You are our Protector, Shield and Defender. Thank You for loving us and taking care of us as we journey ever closer to You. AMEN.
