Mother's Day Prayer
Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her. Proverbs 31:28
Good and Gentle God,
We pray in gratitude for our mothers and for all the women who have joined with You in nurturing us throughout our lives. Give all mothers the strength, courage and faith they need to protect, guide, teach and love their children. Give them Your assurance that You are always with them. Through many sleepless nights as they care for a sick child, as they dry countless tears because of skinned knees and broken hearts, they reflect Your sacrificial love in a beautiful way.
Give them the support of spouse, family and friends as they care for the physical and spiritual growth of their children.
Give them joy and delight in their children. May they be filled with wonder in knowing You have used them to touch and bless the world through the lives of their children.
