Youth Ministry News: Jan 12

Next Youth Group: Sunday, January 15 - 6pm

Happy New Year! We have just ONE meeting this month, so bring a dish to share and we’ll go from there! We’ll have great discussions as usual and cover some of these upcoming items:

  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service (January 16)

  • Box City (March): registration will be open soon!

Martin Luther King Jr., Day of Service

Join us from 12:30-3:30 on Monday, January 16 as we make PB&J sandwiches and bake chocolate chip cookies for our friends at God’s Kitchen. We’ll also be making valentines for the senior residents at Arcadia at Limerick Pointe. We’d love our Youth Group support by helping us with setup and assisting children in making and baking. (Allergy Notice: we will be handling peanut butter onsite. If you have an airborne nut allergy, please consider other ways you can serve offsite or from the Youth Room. If your allergy is contact or ingestion only, you can choose to serve in the baking kitchen or craft tables only.)

ASP Summer Mission Trip

(July 16-22)

It’s not too late to join us for this service trip! Please consider how your participation can help to make a home warmer, safer and drier for individuals living in substandard housing. We currently have 5 youth and 9 adults (9!!) committed to attend! Attendees are responsible for approximately 1/3 of the trip expense, the Mission Fund covers another 1/3 and the last portion is covered through fundraising efforts. Registration links will be sent out soon along with a payment schedule. If you have questions, please reach out to Bobbie Hoffman or Janet Hilsmier.
